Update Your Beneficiaries
We cannot stress the importance of keeping your beneficiaries up-to-date. Beneficiaries on your pension, IRAs, insurances and savings accounts should be reviewed on an annual basis. If your beneficiary needs to be changed, contact your institution as soon as possible.Don't leave the burden on your family members.
It is just as important for parents of minor children to have a will that names a guardian for their children. This along with the other aspects of your will should be reviewed at least every other year.Don't let the court decide your children's future.
